Almalyk MMC commissions 1.5Mta plant

Uzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (MMC) has commissioned its 1.5Mta Sherabad cement plant based in Vandob, Surkhandarya. The US$212.8m project was carried out by DAL Teknik Makina on a turnkey basis. The cement produced will be fundamental to meet the demand in the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, while Almalyk MMC also plans to export cement in the future.

The Turkish Dal Engineering Group will commission a new 1.5Mta cement plant in the Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan by late 2017, a representative from the country's Ministry of Economy told Trend News Agency. AMMC signs contract for Uzbekistan plant expansion

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) has signed a contract with Turkey-based Dal Teknik Makina to expand capacity of a cement plant in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers said. According to the document, the project worth US$35.7m is aimed at increasing the production capacity of the plant to 1Mta, Trend News Agency reported.
